"Caterpillar Inc. and Trimble are to form a new joint venture to develop and manufacture advanced electronic guidance and control products for earthmoving machines. The 50:50 venture will combine GPS, laser, wireless communications, computing and software technologies into rugged on-board packages to help improve productivity in the mining and construction sectors."
