JCB secure one of their biggest-ever UK deals

A-Plant and Greenshields JCB

Equipment-rental specialists A-Plant place £55 million order for more than 1,200 JCB machines

JCB have secured one of their biggest-ever deals in the UK – an order for more than 1,200 machines and a range of generators worth more than £55 million.

A-Plant – the country’s leading equipment rental company – have placed the order, which includes more than 600 JCB Loadall telehandlers, as well as mini- and midi-excavators, rough-terrain fork-lift trucks, site dumpers, backhoe loaders and tracked excavators, plus 162 JCB generators.

The investment means that in the last three years A-Plant have placed orders with JCB worth more than £140 million. All the latest purchases are being supplied through JCB dealer Greenshields JCB and will be distributed throughout A-Plant’s network of more than 175 service centres.

A-Plant’s marketing director, Asif Latief, said: ‘We are delighted to have placed this latest order with JCB, which demonstrates our commitment to working with leading brands. It is part of our continual fleet-investment programme, which has seen A-Plant invest over £300 million during the last two years.’

JCB UK and Ireland sales director Dan Thompstone said: ‘A-Plant have been buying JCB equipment for more than 25 years and we are delighted to support their latest investment.
