IPAF appoint new technical officer
Lavendon’s Chris Wraith to take up new role with the International Powered Access Federation
THE International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has announced the appointment of Chris Wraith (pictured) as technical officer, with effect from 1 July 2011. The full-time position will be based at the Federation’s head office in Cumbria.
Mr Wraith will be joining IPAF from Lavendon Access Services, one of the world’s largest specialist access rental group of companies. He has been with the company for many years, most recently as UK quality, health, safety and environment manager, and is also a qualified IPAF instructor and chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
‘Chris brings more than 20 years of operational and managerial experience of the access industry to the post and will undoubtedly become a key member of our team,’ said IPAF chief executive officer Tim Whiteman. ‘We are delighted to be able to share his experience with our members around the world.’
Commenting on his new appointment, Mr Wraith said: ‘I am really looking forward to becoming part of the IPAF team and building on the excellent work of Gil Male. I will be working closely with everyone in the access industry to further improve the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide.’
