IMS launch new 16x5 heavy-duty scalping screen

New MS165T tracked unit designed to deliver high production rates and precision screening

IRISH Manufacturing Services (IMS), a global leader in the design and distribution of a range of quarrying, port handling, and recycling equipment have expanded their range with the introduction of the MS165T, a 16ft x 5ft heavy-duty tracked scalping screen designed to deliver high production rates and precision screening, and capable of transforming even the toughest feed material into profit.

The 16ft x 5ft scalping screen is designed to deal with the most difficult and demanding of applications, including aggregate, sand and gravel, soils, organic materials, and construction waste. The MS165T can be used as both a stand-alone unit or placed before or behind a primary crusher.

The MS165T includes a low-level 14m3 feed hopper, two- or three-way-split configuration, hydraulic folding discharge conveyors to facilitate quick transition from operation to transport, and a fully integrated power unit with large service access.

Customers can choose from a wide range of screen media options including woven mesh, punch plate, finger screens, and grizzly decks to achieve a variety of final grain sizes and to process different feed materials.

Powered by either a Caterpillar Tier 4 Final or Stage V engine, IMS say the MS165T provides the operator with a reliable, durable, and fuel-efficient screening solution.

Joseph McMeel, IMS’s global sales manager and dealer manager, said: ‘In 2019 we launched our MS104T, a 10ft x 4ft scalping screen, and the demand exceeded well beyond my expectations. Our global distributors quickly realized that with the high-quality IMS scalper they could get market share, so required us to provide them with the next size up.
