Hyundai to launch new-generation machines
New UK launches include HX300L excavator, HL970 wheel loader and R17Z-9A mini-excavator
THERE will be a number of new product launches on the Hyundai stand, including the 30-tonne HX300L and 26-tonne HX260L excavators, both of which will be on demonstration.
Equipped with Cummins engines (compliant to Tier 4 Final and EU Stage IV emissions regulations), the machines feature a combined solution of EGR and SCR technologies without the need for an additional DPF. The cab on the new excavators has been redesigned, most notably the interior which has been rearranged to provide 10% more space for the operator.
Also making their UK debut will be the new 16-tonne R160W-9A wheeled excavator, HL960/HL970 wheel loaders and R17Z-9A mini-excavator.
Powered by a Kubota D902 engine (15.7hp), the 1,7-tonne R17Z-9A mini has been designed for working in confined spaces such as urban environments and manoeuvring in sensitive landscapes.
The canopy-equipped zero-tail-swing machine (no cab option is available yet) has two travel speeds – 2.2km/h at the lower end and 4.1km/h at the higher end of its range. It also has two, rather than four, canopy posts to provide the operator with an optimal work environment.
Other Hyundai machines on display will include: the R25Z-9AK mini-excavator; R80CR-9A midi-excavator; R140LC-9A and R125LCR-9A excavator models; and HL760-9A waste-handler spec machine.
