Health & Safety North 2013

New venue for dedicated health and safety conference and exhibition in north of England
OFFERING the chance to keep up to date with the latest legal issues and trends, Health & Safety North will this year take place at a new venue, The Bolton Arena, from 9–10 October.
New for this year’s event is the ‘Safety Dialogue’ Live Panel, which will offer visitors the opportunity to engage with debates surrounding the most significant issues. This year the panel of experts will focus on the issues surrounding respiratory protective equipment (RPE) and specifically face-fit testing for masks.
A free conference programme, organized in conjunction with the British Safety Council, will address the very latest challenges in the safety sector. For example Kevin Myers, deputy chief executive of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), will address the topic of ‘Progress on the Latest Health and Safety Developments’. This presentation will provide visitors with an up-to-date report on the latest health and safety initiatives and developments that have affected the health and safety industry over the last year.
Additionally, offering advice to those who may be facing an HSE inspection or investigation will be Chris Green, partner with Weightmans LLP, with a seminar entitled ‘An Inspector Calls’. The presentation will look to offer suggestions/advice to companies on what needs to be prepared and considered before an HSE inspection.
As well as the British Safety Council conference programme there will be other more practical seminars taking place involving vendors and event partners such as 3M and DuPont.
Health & Safety North is supported by the British Safety Council, Safety Groups UK and recently announced that 3M Safety Solutions is to be the lead sponsor of the event. The event is also officially endorsed by the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM).
Health & Safety North is free to attend but visitors are recommended to register in advance for guaranteed seminar places. For further information visit: www.healthandsafetyevents.co.uk
