Hanson UK introduce Tremiecrete concrete
New concrete range designed to combat issue of static segregation in deep foundation work
HANSON UK have launched a new range of high-performance concretes specifically engineered to address the issue of static segregation in piling and embedded retaining wall construction.
The Hanson Tremiecrete range of optimized concrete mixes incorporates a bespoke admixture from partner Sika to address the internal stability of the concrete under pressure both during and after placement.
The new product meets the testing requirements detailed in EFFC/DFI Best Practice Guide to Tremie Concrete for Deep Foundations and the ICE Specification for Piling and Embedded retaining Walls (SPERWall).
According to Hanson, Tremiecrete’s modified internal structure allows reinforcement cages to be inserted safely and easily, reducing the risk of misalignment and cage damage/loss in poor ground conditions.
The range is available nationwide as part of the company’s portfolio of bespoke concrete mixes for civil engineering and contracting professionals.
