Hanson open new ready-mix plant in Rochester
Investment in new plant set to meet growing demand for quality concrete in the South East
HANSON have opened a new ready-mixed concrete plant in Rochester, Kent, to supply growing demand for quality-assured concrete for construction projects in the South East.
The new facility replaces the company’s former concrete plant in the town, which closed almost a decade ago, and provides increased capacity, improved productivity plus sustainability benefits from lower power consumption and minimal ongoing maintenance.
‘This is a significant investment and demonstrates our long-term commitment to the area,’ said Brian Charleton, managing director of Hanson’s concrete business. ‘Demand for high-quality concrete is high in the region and this new plant will provide back-up to our sites in Maidstone, Sittingbourne and Tunbridge Wells.’
