Hägglunds launch compact drive solution

Hägglunds Drives have launched Compact CB, a new range of hydraulic motors that combine space economy with high torque and, according to Hägglunds, are maintenance free and operate at a very low noise levels.

Suitable for heavy-duty applications such as shredders, feeders and roll mills, the CB builds on existing designs with a high mechanical efficiency, but provides a wider application choice in conjunction with increased performance and reliability. It is based on the specified needs of users derived from a technical survey carried out by Hägglunds in 13 countries.

The CB motor can be used with the same accessories as the compact CA motor and can be mounted directly on to the drive shaft or supplied with splines for close connection to the drive machine. A wide range of sizes and displacements will be available to optimize the drive, precisely matching the drive to the application.

According to Hägglunds, the mechanical efficiency is around 98%. The shock-proof CB motor also provides full torque at any speed and can stop instantly. The motor can also operate at high speeds and with a very low loss of energy.
