Groeneveld introduce the Twin-3 XL

Company fills a gap with launch of new automatic greasing system for heavier earthmoving machines

GROENEVELD Group have introduced an XL version of their popular Twin-3 automatic greasing system. The Twin-3 XL features an extra-large solid coated metal grease reservoir with a capacity of 18 litres or 20kg of class 2 grease.

Positioned between the standard Twin-3 systems with 3–8kg reservoir capacity and the large barrel pumps for drums up to 200kg, the electric, refillable Twin-3 XL pump is well suited to heavier earthmoving machines, eg wheel loaders and dumptrucks above 50 tonnes, and excavators above 60 tonnes.

However, the 20kg pump can also be used for smaller machines, with the advantage that lubricant needs to be filled less often and, depending on the grease consumption of the machine, does not need to be filled at all in the period between scheduled maintenance activities.

Because the pump and reservoir have been combined, the complete system is compact and easy to mount. The cylinder-shaped reservoir has a diameter of 340mm and the complete pump is no higher than 656mm. The system works under relatively little pressure, thereby retaining the quality and structure of the grease, while optimum greasing of all greasing points is achieved thanks to two simultaneous lines.

The Twin-3 system is also characterized by a display in the cabin which is used to manage system operation.
