Geodiversity, Geoconservation and GeoValue
A ONE-day conference is to be held on 24 January 2007 at the De La Beche Lecture Theatre, British Geological Survey, Keyworth, Notts, which will include dissemination of the results of the completed ALSF/MIST/MIRO research project entitled ‘GeoValue: Valuing Geodiversity for the Community’.
The conference is expected to be of interest to: those involved in geoconservation and geological site designation; quarry company geologists, managers and planners involved in decision-making where geodiversity is an issue; quarry company personnel hosting geological and other visitors; owners of former quarries and other geological sites; and leaders of groups undertaking geological fieldwork in the UK.
The conference is free to all those attending, although prior registration is required. A buffet lunch is included.
