Fuel management made simple

Fueltek develop web-browser-based fuel-management system designed to help fleet managers access critical data from any location

FUEL Management On-Line (FMO) from Fueltek is an easy-to-use software package that integrates all the fuel-management hardware elements, gathers fuelling information effectively and is easily customized to produce detailed fuel information for the end-user. Fleet managers can install the programme on their own networks or have the option of remote hosting by Fueltek.

Scalability is a key feature of FMO. The system is equally applicable to small fleet, single depot operations as it is to major operators with hundreds of vehicles and numerous locations. There is no limit to the number of devices on the network. These include fuel management terminals, tank monitoring systems, gates and barriers.

Internet Protocol (IP) provides the network’s communication backbone. Every hardware device in the system has a unique identity and is connected to the controlling computer via the Internet, or the client’s dedicated intranet system.

‘FMO is a flexible Internet-based fuel-management tool allowing managers to access data using a secure password from any PC, laptop or mobile device with Internet connection,’ explained Fueltek managing director Martin Devine. ‘This means that a manager away on business can still keep track of operations. Information can be accessed by managers based on their individual profile specifying what they can and cannot see, and the actions they can initiate.’

Another key benefit using FMO is that it does not need to be ‘resident’ on the client’s computer. The fuel-management software, application customization, data and reports can all be hosted on Fueltek’s own servers.

‘When we host the system our clients have less to worry about,’ said Mr Devine. ‘We take care of back-up, upgrades and all operational issues. This removes the burden on their internal computing resources.’
