FTA Transport Manager seminars

Be prepared with the Freight Transport Association’s autumn series of Transport Manager seminars

THE Freight Transport Association says the challenge of high fuel prices, extreme winter weather and some big changes to Operator Licensing and CPC training means it has never been more important for transport managers to take control and be prepared, which is why the theme of this year’s Transport Manager series from the FTA is ‘be prepared’.

The autumn series of Transport Manager 2011 seminars will take place across the UK from mid-September to the end of November.

Expert speakers from organizations such as VOSA, the Highways Agency and Backhouse Jones Solicitors, as well as the FTA Member Advice Centre and other key FTA staff, will advise delegates on the very latest legislation, and how to keep their operation at the forefront of best practice and compliance procedures.

Key sessions at Transport Manager 2011 will include: Changes to Operator Licensing, CPC and the role of transport managers in 2012; Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) test centre closures and Authorized Testing Facilities; Cutting costs, cutting fuel, cutting carbon; Who wants to be a transport manager? – interactive learning session; Extreme weather - are you prepared for winter 2011?; Agency Worker Directive explained; and Key transport developments expected in 2012.

For full details of dates, venues, costs etc, call the FTA Member Service Centre on tel: (08717) 112222; or visit: www.fta.co.uk/events/transport_manager_2011.html
