Fixed-price load-cell exchange service
A new fixed-price service exchange solution that allows fleet-management companies to ‘swap’ their old on-board load-cells and pressure transducers for new, electrically interchangeable load-cells has been introduced by Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd.
Customers simply send their old load-cell to the Oldham-based company in a clean condition and clearly labelled, whereupon a new or, if preferred, reconditioned electrically and mechanically interchangeable load-cell will be sent back to them, usually within 24h, to minimize any operational disruption.
The service is said to be suitable for the majority of load-cell types, with compatible connectors fitted where appropriate for certain models. All repaired load-cells come with an 18-month guarantee, while new cells are covered for two years.
