First Bobcat T35105L telehandler in the UK

Bobcat T35105L telehandler

Lancashire-based Readyplant purchase latest Bobcat telescopic handler in 10–12m class

THE first Bobcat T35105L telehandler model in the UK, supplied by authorized local dealers Norwest Plant Ltd, has been sold to Readyplant Ltd of Croston.

The T35105L unit – one of three new 10–12m middle lift telescopic handlers from Bobcat – shares the same counterweight design and chassis, and incorporates many of the improvements already seen in the TL360/TL470 (6–7m) and T40140/T40180 (14–18m) models launched over the last 18 months.

Arthur Ruttle, director of Readyplant, said: ‘The T35105L is the first Bobcat telehandler we have purchased and right from the start, it has been out on hire and performing well on sites across the North West.

‘The excellent range of features offered by the new T35105L is a perfect match for our requirements for the Readyplant fleet. We bought the new machine to meet increased demand from the construction sector, particularly in house building.’

For construction/rental applications, the T35105L telehandler features an auxiliary hydraulic line with a 1.12m wide foldable pallet forks carriage, a backrest and 1,200mm pallet forks as standard.

The machine boasts a Stage IIIB-compliant Deutz TCD 3.6 L4 diesel engine (100hp) which delivers sufficient power and torque to handle the most difficult ground conditions. It has a maximum lift capacity of 3.5 tonnes, while the working envelope has a maximum lift height of 10.29m and a maximum forward reach of 6.88m.

The T35105L unit is also equipped with hydrostatic transmission offering a maximum travel speed of 30km/h, complemented by an inching function for smooth driving and precise positioning. The telehandler also comes with a Bobcat frame-levelling system as standard.

Advanced features of the new telehandler include a new panoramic cab which has a large parabolic windscreen, providing panoramic visibility when handling loads at height. Inside the cab there is a new dashboard with digital display and ergonomic controls, including a joystick with integrated forward/reverse (FNR) control for improved productivity and safety.

Mr Ruttle said: ‘The new Bobcat T35105L meets all our needs especially in terms of lower costs, comfort and performance. The new ROPS/FOPS-protected cab provides high visibility, not only through the curved front window, but also the larger back window, increasing sight to the rear, while the cab door with windows above and below the handlebar provides optimum visibility when manoeuvring close to walls or other obstacles.’

For added safety, the T35105L unit features an aggravating movement arrester (AMA) system, which cuts off all aggravating movements to ensure safe use within the working envelope, whatever the attachment used and the type of load (palletized or suspended) being lifted.
