Finning announce new MD for UK
FINNING International Inc. have announced that Andy Fraser, currently group vice-president of Finning Canada, is to take over as managing director of Finning Group UK, with effect from 1 November 2006. He will replace current UK managing director Nick Lloyd, who is retiring on 31 December after 38 years with the company.
Mr Fraser joined Finning in 1979, gaining experience in product support, parts and general line sales. Before being promoted to his current role in 2005, he held a number of senior management positions with the company’s Canadian operation, including vice-president, redistribution; vice-president, sales and marketing; and vice-president, operations and customer relations.
Commenting on Mr Fraser’s appointment, Doug Whitehead, president and chief executive officer of Finning International Inc., said: ‘Andy is one of Finning’s most experienced young executives and has achieved success in all aspects of the company’s Canadian operations. His leadership qualities have been honed in a variety of challenging assignments and he will bring a high level of commitment and energy to his new role.’
