Extec choose Cat engines
Finning Power Systems have been awarded a multi-million pound contract by Extec Screens & Crushers to supply them with Caterpillar ‘C’ engines.
The agreement means that Finning, the sole distributors of Caterpillar engines in the UK, will supply Cat C6.6, C9 and C13 engines to Extec’s screening, crushing and shredding equipment. Howard Bellaby, Extec’s sourcing and procurement manager, said: ‘Our customers expect our machines to perform to the highest possible standards. It is therefore essential we install the most reliable, robust and efficient engines.’
The Cat C6.6 engine is being installed in Extec’s C-10 crusher range. The C9 will be used in Extec’s C-12 tracked jaw crusher and the C13 will power Extec’s heavy-duty tracked impactor and shredder ranges.
