E&F Recycling GmbH invest in new Kleemann mobile impact crusher
German waste operator levels up recycling capability with Mobirex MR 100i NEO
E&F Recycling have taken delivery of a new Kleemann Mobirex MR 100i NEO mobile impact crusher at their Nordhorn site, close to the Dutch border. The latest fleet addition – recycling concrete and mixed rubble – was chosen for its high product quality, flexible operation, and compact dimensions.
‘The solid construction and promising technical innovations of the new Kleemann impact crusher won us over straight away,’ said Wouter Fahner, managing director of E&F Recycling.
One of the key features of the compact Mobirex MR 100i NEO is the innovative ‘Lock & Turn Quick Access’ function. The system allows the crusher housing to be opened quickly and without tools. Opening/closing the machine takes only 30 seconds and is performed at the push of a button.
This speeds up maintenance access and helps make activities easier, for example, if bridging needs to be removed or rotor ledges need to be replaced. ‘It allows service engineers to carry out maintenance work much more quickly and safely, while reducing equipment downtime,’ remarked Mr Fahner.
Another innovation of the MR 100i NEO is the full hydraulic gap adjustment and overload system. Gap adjustment and zero-point determination are carried out with millimetre precision at the press of a button, as manual measuring, loosening of screws, and final positioning are no longer necessary.
The overload system ensures that the machine is protected against serious damage, including uncrushable material such as large iron parts. If this is encountered, the pressure plate breaks, allowing the rocker to move out of the way.
This effectively protects the rotor, rocker, and crusher housing. ‘In such a case, the pressure plate must be replaced, but this is much cheaper to do than repair damage to the rocker or crusher itself,’ explained Mr Fahner.
The operation of the mobile impact crusher with SPECTIVE CONNECT is user-friendly on a smartphone. Important functions, such as the crushing gap setting, troubleshooting, and, in the future, production data for the belt scale, can be viewed remotely via the app.
This means that even less experienced employees can quickly familiarize themselves with the plant and operate the Mobirex MR 100i NEO safely. ‘Handling of the machine is a big plus for us. With our previous small impact crusher, it was much more difficult to change settings, let alone have a digital solution that gives us an extensive insight into machinery data and much more,’ said Mr Fahner.
E&F Recycling process around 100,000 tons of material annually and the new compact class NEO mobile crusher has a maximum feed capacity of up to 200 tonnes/h. To remove contamination in the processed material, final product quality is optimized using an optional wind sifter. This helps the waste-recycling operator improve product quality and reduce time-consuming sorting work.
Belt scales have also been installed on the crusher’s discharge conveyors, offering maximum production transparency which can be viewed on the SPECTIVE CONNECT app.
E&F Recycling have been so impressed by the Mobirex MR 100i NEO impact crusher that they have added other Kleemann products to their materials processing equipment fleet, including the Mobiscreen MSS 802i Evo scalper and MBT 24i mobile stacker.
