Aggregate Industries and Eddie Stobart announce new five-year logistics supply partnership

AGGREGATE Industries UK Ltd have named Eddie Stobart as their Concrete Products division’s new logistics supply partner. From October 2016, logistics for this division will transfer to Eddie Stobart’s manufacturing and industrial business unit.

The new five-year contract, awarded following an extensive tender process, will see the haulier carrying Bradstone, Charcon and Masterblock products from 14 UK sites using a combination of specialist curtain-siders, flat trailers and mechanical off-load vehicles.

Aggregate Industries say the strategic partnership with Eddie Stobart will allow them to provide a more personalized and flexible service to meet their customers’ ever-changing needs. Moreover, the varied nature of the work requires a highly flexible haulage partner with specialist resources and equipment – a key reason why Eddie Stobart were chosen.

Eddie Stobart’s intelligent planning strategies and systems, and transparent operation, are supported by the latest in-cab telematics systems, providing industry-leading accuracy and real-time load information. This will allow Aggregate Industries to monitor arrivals and deliveries for customers, and better plan on-site schedules for increased efficiency.

The multimodal haulier has become renowned in the UK and internationally, after more than five decades operating largely in the retail distribution market, offering exceptional service levels and exemplary on-time deliveries – all underpinned by its rigorous driver training programme.
