Doosan launch new DX300LC-7 crawler excavator

Doosan DX300LC-7 excavator

Latest Stage V-compliant machine offers high performance, reliability and durability in the 30-tonne class

DOOSAN have launched their first Stage V-compliant mid-sized crawler excavator – the DX300LC-7 – which is said to offer an unmatched combination of high performance, operating features, fuel efficiency, reliability and durability.

The 30-tonne DX300LC-7 machine is powered by the latest Doosan DL08 diesel engine, providing a power output of 202kW (271hp) at 1,800 rev/min. The new engine meets Stage V emission regulations without the use of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) by boosting the quantity of air available during combustion, increasing the temperature of the process and reducing the number of particulates produced.

These key benefits, when combined with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), diesel particulate filter (DPF) and selective catalyst reduction (SCR) after-treatment technologies, ensure minimal emissions. In addition, DPF maintenance is reduced, with no servicing required until the excavator has operated for 8,000h.

As well as the fuel-efficient DL08 engine, other innovative new features have been added to increase productivity and fuel economy. Among these is a new hydraulic main valve and the next-generation Doosan-developed Smart Power Control (SPC3) system, which increases fuel savings by as much as 7% in S mode and 6% in P+ mode, compared with the previous-generation excavator model.

These are two in a range of four power modes available on the DX300LC-7, which help to simplify the operation of the new excavator, compared with the more complex choice of eight power modes and SPC combinations in the previous model. The operator is able to set the power mode (P+, P, S or E) in both one-way and two-way working modes.

The new cab in the DX300LC-7 machine takes operator comfort and ease of operation to the next level, ensuring total controllability and high precision in all applications. Key new features in the cab include: an 8in LCD touchscreen as standard, plus optional smart keyless start system; ultrasonic detection of obstacles; side protection; and LED lights.

For increased safety, the excavator is equipped with a 360-degree camera system to give the operator full visibility and a top-down view of the area outside the machine. The camera monitor unit comprises a front camera, two side cameras and a rear camera.

The DX300LC-7 unit is factory-installed with the DoosanConnect telematics system, which provides real-time data monitoring on the excavator’s operational performance, location and availability.
