Doosan appoint new EMEA region president
DOOSAN Infracore Construction Equipment (DI CE) have announced the appointment of Scott Nelson as their new president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
With effect from 1 July 2010, Mr Nelson succeeds Alberto Fornaro, who, in addition to his position as chief financial officer of DI CE, has served since the beginning of the year as president of the EMEA region.
In 2006 Scott Nelson was appointed president, European Served Area, for Bobcat, now part of DI CE, before becoming chief executive officer of Doosan Infracore International in 2008. In this role, Mr Nelson led the successful integration of the DI CE operations in North America.
Announcing the appointment, Tony Helsham, chief executive officer of DI CE, said: ‘Scott is uniquely qualified for this role, having presided over the successful establishment of the regional headquarters at Waterloo in Belgium and the opening of the compact equipment plant in Dobris in the Czech Republic. He has a strong relationship with the staff, the dealers, operations and the markets in the EMEA region.’
Scott Nelson began his career in 1999 with Bobcat and has held various positions including vice-president marketing North America and vice-president sales & marketing North America before becoming president, Bobcat Americas.
