Doosan announce new president for EMEA
Martin Knoetgen promoted to new president for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region
DOOSAN Infracore Construction Equipment have appointed Martin Knoetgen, vice-president of EMEA operations, as new EMEA president. He will assume his new role with effect from 1 June 2012, replacing Scott Nelson who has decided to leave the company for personal reasons.
Announcing the change, Tony Helsham, chief executive officer of Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment, noted the important contribution that Mr Nelson had made to the company and thanked him for his strong leadership and valued contributions to the business.
'Delivering on our promise to our dealers and customers to provide quality, value-added products and services that support their business success is at the core of what we do, so in finding a successor it was important to appoint someone who embodies this promise in the same way as Scott has done,’ said Mr Helsham.
‘I am therefore pleased to announce that Martin Knoetgen is assuming the position of president of Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment – EMEA.
‘Martin has served as the vice-president of EMEA operations for the past two years, and with more than 15 years of general management and operations experience, he has a balanced leadership approach and a demonstrated ability to deliver on short-term goals while developing strategies to meet long-term plans.’
Prior to joining Doosan, Mr Knoetgen served as president and general manager at Dalphi Metal, a subsidiary of TRW Automotive Holdings Corporation. He also spent more than three years as director of operations in Europe and four years as plant manager at TRW.
