Deutz launch new genset range

DIESEL and gas engine manufacturers Deutz have introduced a new range of air-cooled diesel gensets (ADG), available in three-, four- and six-cylinder versions. The powerful yet compact units are suitable for providing back-up emergency power supplies or for use in applications where no permanent power supply is available.

Powered by Deutz’s well-proven 91-Series (912 and 914) diesel engines, with outputs ranging from 28 to 152kVA, the ADG gensets cover mains power frequencies of 50Hz and 60Hz, while their guided cooling air ducting allows the range to operate effectively at high or low ambient temperatures.

The ADG 28C and ADG 32C models are powered by the F3L 912 three-cylinder diesel engine, while the ADG 42C and ADG 62C versions are equipped with the F4L 914 and BF4L 914 four-cylinder engines respectively. The ADG 72C and ADG 102C gensets are powered by F6L 914 and BF6L 914 six cylinder engines; with the ADG 132C and ADG 152C models powered by a six cylinder BF6L 914C diesel engine.

Although compact in design – the ADG 42C model, for example, measures just 1.98m in length x 1.11m in width x 1.61m in height, with a weight of 1,300kg – the gensets feature four generously sized doors and a folding operating panel, providing optimum accessibility for any periodic servicing and maintenance work.

As well as incorporating Marelli alternators, which have been optimized for use with the Deutz air-cooled engines, other features include an advanced injection and combustion system, with full electronic control, plus an optional electronic governor.

The gensets are available with a sound-insulated external housing for ultra-quiet operation or in an open-frame version, while various customized control modules are available to provide a comprehensive choice of monitoring functions and digital displays to suit different operating conditions.
