DEUTZ engines for Bobcat machines
Four telehandler models to be powered by DEUTZ AG engine technology for the first time
BOBCAT have signed a new partnership agreement with DEUTZ AG for the supply of ultra-modern engines on their TL360, TL470, T40140 and T40180 telehandler models.
The agile and robust Bobcat telehandlers will be powered by a DEUTZ TCD 3.6 L4 engine, which has been developed specially for construction equipment and agricultural machinery.
The water-cooled four-cylinder TCD series engine features a compact design and customer-orientated, modular system of optional attachments. It has a peak capacity ranging from 55.4kW to 90kW at 2,300 rev/min (rated speed).
The TCD 3.6 series engines are equipped with a modular exhaust gas after-treatment system that can be attached to the engine as an option, thereby optimally simplifying device integration. The DEUTZ engine also comes with a charge air cooler and only needs an oxidation catalyst to meet the EU Stage IIIB and Tier 4 interim emission standards.
‘We are delighted that Bobcat relies on DEUTZ for the propulsion of their special vehicles,’ commented Michael Wellenzohn, director of sales and marketing at DEUTZ. ‘The cooperation with Bobcat once again underscores the versatility and robustness of our engines, which are deployed in a wide variety of application fields.’
