Custom overband magnet for new recycling crusher
ECO Baughans, manufacturers of screening and crushing equipment for small- and medium-size recycling applications, have recently introduced the 20 x 20 ‘Jobber’ to their range and asked Master Magnets to supply a suitable magnet for the machine.
To ensure that separation requirements could be met, Master Magnets advised that a magnet with a 150mm operating gap should be used on the crusher. The framework on a standard magnet of this size proved to be too large once mounted above the crusher’s conveyor. Master Magnets therefore redesigned the magnet to consist of shorter pulleys, a narrower belt and a smaller steel framework.
