Caterpillar Off-Highway rigid dumptrucks now available with Continental RDT-Master tyres

CONTINENTAL have announced that their RDT-Master off-the-road (OTR) tyre has been approved for use on Caterpillar Off-Highway Truck models globally, allowing customers to specify their Cat Off-Highway Trucks with Continental RDT-Master tyres ex works.

Continental’s RDT-Master tyre has been designed to meet the rigorous demands of construction, quarrying and mining operations. Facing the multiple requirements of earthmoving tyre fitments, the range includes three different sizes – 18.00 R33, 21.00 R33 and 24.00 R35 – which are approved for Cat 770, 772, 773, 775 and 775 WTR machine models.

Continental say the endorsement marks a pivotal milestone, highlighting the quality, durability, and performance of their tyres in the earthmoving segment. ‘We are excited that Caterpillar are expanding their tyre range with the RDT-Master from us. This exemplifies our growth ambitions in the earthmoving segment,’ said Carly Shipley, key account manager for the earthmoving original equipment at Continental Specialty Tires.
