Conservative Party leader visits TH White Group
The Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP calls in on engineering services firm during Wiltshire business tour
THE Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP, leader of HM Official Opposition and of the Conservative Party, visited engineering services provider TH White Group in Devizes today as part of her tour of local Wiltshire businesses ahead of the upcoming local elections. Joining the Conservative leader were Danny Kruger, MP for East Wiltshire, and councillor Richard Clewer, leader of Wiltshire Council.
Welcomed by Alexander Scott, chief executive officer of TH White Group, and Ian Childs, UK production director of Palfinger, Mrs Badenoch was given a guided tour of the Devizes site, home to several of the Group’s businesses: Palfinger UK, TH White Projects, and TH White Energy, Fire & Security, as well as the company’s central functions team.
During the visit, the delegation met with members of the TH White leadership team from other businesses, including Adrian Lovegrove and Mason Hatton (divisional directors), along with Jane Fowler and Joe McTiernan heading up the finance and HR departments. Discussions focused on the opportunities and challenges facing Wiltshire businesses, particularly in the engineering and agricultural sectors.

TH White Group, with a history spanning nearly 200 years, are major regional and national employers and key contributor to multiple industries including construction, agriculture, and energy, fire and security.
Mrs Badenoch expressed a strong interest in understanding both the barriers and aspirations of local enterprises, emphasizing the importance of businesses like TH White in shaping economic growth and informing government policy.
