Concrete supplier boosts customer service

AARDVARK Concrete are using vehicle-tracking technology to provide customers with guaranteed 30min delivery slots, thereby helping to achieve a competitive edge.

The company are using Navman Wireless’s advanced system, which allows them to track, message and monitor their fleet.

John Kilroe, managing director of Aardvark Concrete, explained: ‘We have to respond very quickly to customer requests because of their project deadlines. They like to know when their concrete is arriving and so the vehicle tracking software system is on all day and is monitored by all office staff. This allows us to guarantee the 30min delivery slots for every customer.

‘We try to achieve six drops per truck per day, but to achieve the sixth drop we need to save time wherever we can – this is when vehicle tracking comes into its own.’
