CHC invest in Volvo Construction Equipment products
BURY-based Cheetham Hill Construction Ltd (CHC) are no strangers to running Volvo articulated dumptrucks and more recently Volvo excavators and have recently taken delivery of eight new A30E articulated dumptrucks and an EC460C Mass excavator.
According to plant director Sean Isherwood, the 30-tonne A30E has become the optimum-sized hauler for the majority of the contracts currently undertaken by CHC and their regular client base. ‘In general we see job sites getting smaller and typically we work on landfill sites, land reclamation projects, quarrying and utility contracts. This, coupled with the predominantly wet British weather, favours a medium-capacity truck fitted with floatation tyres and the A30E fits the bill’ he said. ‘This latest package reflects CHC’s strong position in a troubled market and a commitment to provide new and productive machines to our clientele operating across the whole of the UK.’
The new additions, all supplied with Volvo’s full repair and maintenance agreements, bring the total of Volvo branded machines in CHC’s fleet to 50 out of a total of 100. In addition, they are fitted with the Caretrack Advanced monitoring system giving CHC the peace of mind that the best possible care of their investment is taken with a regular, scheduled maintenance programme using genuine Volvo parts and lubricants.
