CEMEX white cement divestment completed

Company closes divestment of Buñol white cement plant and part of white cement business

CEMEX have successfully closed the previously announced sale of their white cement business, including their Buñol cement plant in Spain, to Çimsa Çimento Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S., for a total consideration of approximately US$155 million.

CEMEX’s white cement assets, business activities and investments in Mexico and the US are not part of the announced divestment and will be retained by the company.

Proceeds from the divestment will be used primarily to fund the company’s bolt-on investment growth strategy in its core businesses and geographies, as well as to reduce debt.
