CEMEX order mobile plant worth £3.5 million from Volvo
VOLVO Construction Equipment have secured a substantial strategic order from CEMEX UK for mobile plant to the value of £3.5 million. Following successful negotiations, Volvo will supply 25 wheel loaders of differing sizes, a 46-tonne EC460BLC excavator and a BL71 backhoe loader, the majority of which have been sold with repair and maintenance programmes.
The machines, ranging from the Volvo L70E to the 5.0m³ L220E, will be supplied countrywide to CEMEX’s network of hard rock quarries, sand and gravel pits, concrete products facilities and readymix, cement and asphalt plants. Twelve of the units are L150E wheel loaders equipped with 4.0m³ rehandling buckets and the complete package is configured to CEMEX’s specification, which includes Groeneveld automatic lubrication, ride control, reversing aids and high-visibility red and white chevrons on the rear of the machines.
