Cat GRADE for Dozers technology
New D6T dozer more productive and easier to operate with Slope Assist Technology
CATERPILLAR D6T dozer operators will soon be able to enjoy even more productivity and ease of operation with the addition of Cat Slope Assist as standard equipment.
Slope Assist helps operators reach target slope faster by automatically maintaining the dozer blade’s established blade angles. According to Caterpillar, operators can finish up to 39% quicker, with up to 68% better surface quality and using up to 82% less operator effort.
Slope Assist is a GRADE for Dozers feature that is part of the broad suite of Cat Connect technologies. GRADE technology is designed to help control the blade so operators can get more quality work done in less time.
It allows experienced operators to work more productively and less experienced operators to achieve better quality results more quickly.
Slope Assist is standard on the D6T and fully integrated into the machine at the factory – no additional hardware or software is required.
Slope Assist will be available mid-2016, starting with LGP, LGP VPAT and XW VPAT configurations. The technology is complemented by a new colour liquid crystal display (LCD), which shows Slope Assist values, real-time machine mainfall/cross slope, and a variety of other machine operating information and functions.
With a maximum operating weight of 24.3 tonnes, the Cat D6T dozer is powered by a 154kW (210hp) Cat C9.3 ACERT engine and features a blade capacity range from 3.7 to 5.3 cubic metres.
