Camso launch next-generation skid-steer tyres

Camso SKS 532 skid-steer tyre

Latest SKS 753 and SKS 532 loader tyres offer superior traction and longer service life

OFF-road tyre specialists Camso, formerly Camoplast Solideal, have further strengthened their product portfolio with the launch of two next-generation skid-steer tyres.

The company has engineered these latest tyres based on a deep understanding of the specific needs of end-users. According to Camso, general jobs in the construction sector have become more specialized and a skid-steer loader provides the versatility to meet these challenges.

‘As applications become more specialized so should the tyes that work in them,’ said David DeWaele, product management director, EMEA and APAC – Construction.

‘We believe productivity and profitability can be maximized when you choose the right tyre for your application. Beyond offering the widest range of tyres and rubber tracks, having the best solution to suit any particular application is what is really driving us.’

Building on past innovations, the SKS 753 and SKS 532 are the fourth and fifth skid-steer tyres Camso have launched since January 2015. All of which are built with features that increase tyre performance and overall durability.

The Camso SKS 753 provides versatility and optimal durability on mixed and hard surfaces. Featuring a non-directional tread pattern, the tyre has a high lug-to-void ratio that provides excellent wear and puncture resistance on hard surfaces, while its stepped shoulder lugs improve traction on softer surfaces.

The SKS 753 is the next generation of the well-known Solidael Hauler SKZ and has up to 30% more service life than its predecessor.

The Camso SKS 532 has been designed for optimum performance on general-duty, mixed-soft surfaces. The tyre improves both traction and durability, thanks to its extra-deep directional tread and curved lugs.

In addition, its unique stepped tread pattern provides excellent mud clean out, while a void guard reinforces and protects the carcass from punctures. The Camso SKS 532 also surpasses its predecessor, the Solideal Xtra Wall, with 30% longer service life.

To protect against sidewall damage, both SKS 753 and SKS 532 incorporate Camso’s reverse sidewall design with impact guard to deflect objects and debris away from the tyres. The sidewall feature extends the tyre’s life and, ultimately, contributes to a lower operating cost solution for the end-user.
