California dreaming for Kleemann
Ramco take on Mobirex MR 130 Zi EVO2 impact crusher for enhanced recycled aggregate operation
A NEW Kleemann Mobirex MR 130 Zi EVO2 impact crusher is helping to drive forward increased performance, improved concrete recycling, and reduced running costs for a third-generation family-run recycled aggregates firm.
Operating in southern California, US-based Ramco receive a wide variety of concrete materials and asphalts at their Beaumont waste disposal site, where over the years the vast amount of infrastructure in the area has created a high demand for recycled aggregates.
And this is where the Mobirex MR 130 Zi EVO2 impact crusher comes in, crushing roughly 18in down to 1in recycled concrete product for Ramco. The powerful mobile machine has been specially developed to deliver first-class product quality and to achieve impressive throughputs. The impact crusher is easy to transport with short set-up times during commissioning and maintenance, as well as offering high machine availability and flexibility.
‘Working with the Kleemann machine is fantastic,’ commented Dallas Jones, vice-president of operations at Ramco. ‘This is really good for us because we could go between our facilities and crush and even go crush for some of our customers.’
The Mobirex MR 130 Zi EVO2 features an innovative diesel direct-drive concept that ensures high performance with economical consumption. The system widths of the impact crusher open in the direction of the material flow for better utilization and higher productivity. The machine also benefits from Kleemann’s continuous feed system (CFS), which controls the frequency of the vibrating feeder and the pre-screen in relation to the crusher load.
‘The Kleemann EVO2 impact crusher is extremely user-friendly and simple. The technology involved with it and all the sensors and safety features are extremely handy,’ said Darrel Burroughs, operator at Ramco.
Kleemann’s intuitive SPECTIVE operating concept on the Mobirex MR 130 Zi EVO2 unit is controlled via a 12in touchscreen interface that allows the operator to be in easy contact and complete control of the mobile crusher. Key functions (eg crusher gap adjustment) are easily activated, some of which can be executed during operation of the machine.
