Cabcare acquire Jayrox and Jayscreen brands
Equipment guard specialist strengthens position as major player in aftersales demolition market
CABCARE, a leading provider of bespoke vandal and demolition guards for all types of construction machinery, have acquired the Jayrox and Jayscreen brands. Renowned for their quality, reliability and precision products, the Jayrox and Jayscreen ranges will complement Cabcare’s portfolio of vandal guards, rock/demolition guards and handrails.
In early 2012, the company expanded into the rock/FOPS guard market by acquiring the rights to the Tanmill range of FOPS-certified demolition guards.
Richard Davies, manager director of Cabcare, said: ‘We have a unique level of design experience in our business for vandal and demolition guards, and we want to continue to improve cab protection whether it is vandal guards or FOP systems to protect against working in demolition. The Jayrox and Jayscreen brands compliment our existing range and this move demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing the best equipment in this field.’
Cabcare are approved suppliers to many leading construction equipment manufacturers, including Caterpillar, JCB, Doosan, Volvo CE and Hyundai. Among the company’s products are the FOPS demolition guards, which have been designed to protect machine operators from falling objects when working in either quarries or on demolition sites.
The guards include a removable front grille to aid visibility when front screen protection is not required as well as a raised section in the roof to allow the machines skylight (where fitted) to open.
Cabcare also supply both chassis-mounted and cab-mounted guards, along with vandal guards which offer peace of mind, lower insurance costs and reduced downtime by providing reliable plant protection. Each vandal guard kit is specifically designed to match the contours of the cab and existing fixing points are used to ensure that the certification of the cab is not compromised.
Cabcare also offer a wide range of handrails to provide protection to the driver when working on the back of the excavator. Again, the handrails are designed for bolting on to existing fixings to avoid unnecessary drilling or welding on to the machine.
