Building on Business Improvement Training Success

Smiley Monroe announce 'Business Improvement Techniques' Training for 2012

Last August [2011] Smiley Monroe reported that two groups of 10 of their employees completed the NVQ Level 2 'Business Improvement Techniques' (BIT) Programme at Southern Regional College (SRC).

The candidates came from a range of disciplines within the company including sales, service, operations, production, scheduling, materials handling, quality, and health and safety.

Congratulations to all the candidates (pictured) who have each now received their certificates - ETCAL Level 2 NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) - awarded by the Engineering Training Council.

The next BIT training programme began in February, when for the first time, two Smiley Monroe’s employees will be tackling NVQ Level 3.

Declan McGrady, Smiley Monroe's operations manager, commented: ‘Post downturn, the BIT course has kept the focus on Continuous Improvement at all levels within the company. It has facilitated the development of our valued team members, whilst helping them to realise their potential and benefit the company. SRC's highly qualified trainers have provided the appropriate amount of teaching, guidance and support to help plan and implement improvement projects - resulting in real cost savings for Smiley Monroe.’
