Anglian Land Drainage set to further enhance processing capabilities with complete wash plant solution

COLLABORATING with their southern England dealer, Wren Ltd, and the end-user, Bruce Materials Processing Solutions have successfully commissioned their innovative BWS-40M sand-recovery plant for Anglian Land Drainage Ltd. This unique cyclone sand washing plant incorporates a roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) chassis compatible with any standard hook loader, expanding the mobile capabilities of the Bruce sand plant range. Fully automated, the machine efficiently recovers valuable fines to produce a consistent washed and dewatered sand product.

Ryan Copperthwaite, director at Wren Ltd, commented: ‘Anglian Land Drainage (ALD) approached us with a recurring challenge that required setting up a mobile sand plant across various sites. We collaborated closely with the Bruce team to develop innovative concepts, following standard design procedures, until the team at ALD were satisfied. Since the installation and commissioning, ALD have been thrilled with the outcomes. The machine operates reliably at each site, consistently producing clean products from diverse applications.’

Following the successful installation of the sand-recovery plant, Anglian Land Drainage are set to further enhance their processing capabilities with a complete Bruce wash plant solution, including a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment system by Tecnoidea Impianti, scheduled for installation in September.

Mr Copperthwaite said: ‘ALD’s commitment to investing in Bruce is driven by the clear communication between all parties throughout the project, from the initial concept to commissioning and aftercare. We eagerly anticipate the upcoming installation of the complete modular washing solution.’

Meanwhile, Tecnoidea Impianti say they are excited to be collaborating with Bruce Materials Processing Solutions and Wren Ltd in supplying the water-treatment system for Anglian Land Drainage, who they describe as ‘an experienced customer able to precisely define their needs, enabling us to engineer and produce a tailored solution that seamlessly integrates with the Bruce modular wash plant’.

According to Tecnoidea, the design phase also benefited greatly from the insightful feedback provided by Wren Ltd, ensuring an optimal outcome. The comprehensive water-treatment system will deliver 5,000 litres/min of recycled water in a closed loop featuring a water clarification line and sludge dehydration via a high-capacity filter press, whilst advanced controls and automation will minimize operating costs and operator supervision.

With more than 40 years’ expertise and thousands of installations worldwide, Tecnoidea are confident of another successful deployment and say this project showcases the power of collaboration and their commitment to innovative water-treatment solutions.
