Brick production down

According to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics, 2.96 billion bricks were produced by, and 3.01 billion bricks were delivered from, sites in Great Britain during 1999. Compared with 1998, brick production was down 1.5% while deliveries were up 1.25%.
