Company’s support will further strengthen the construction industry’s dedicated charity

BREEDON Group plc have become an official company supporter of the construction industry’s own dedicated charity, the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, further strengthening its important role in protecting the well-being of colleagues who work in construction.

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is the only charity that provides mental, physical, and financial well-being support to the construction community and its families across the UK and Ireland, and a crucial element of its strategy is to provide a wide range of free and widely available proactive resources to help the industry.

Explaining why the company has become an official supporter, Rob Wood, chief executive officer of Breedon, said: ‘We want to ensure that all our colleagues, and everyone that works for us, go home safe and well every day. That’s one of the reasons we have partnered with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity. It provides colleagues and their families with direct access to an array of services that help to look after their well-being. Together, we want to ensure everyone brings their best selves to work and that the industry encourages everyone to make safe decisions.’

Sarah Bolton, chief executive officer of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, said: ‘We are delighted to have the support of Breedon as a company supporter. Not only are they supporting us financially, their proactive stance on promoting a positive well-being culture will ensure that their teams know how to reach out for support if they need it and encourage open conversations where people feel supported.’
