Plant registration and security system to be fitted as standard on all new Avant Tecno machines

AVANT Tecno machines have been available in the UK for the past 20 years, but the company has now decided to fit the industry-backed CESAR plant registration and security system as standard on all new machinery.

With a strong network of regional dealers across the UK, Avant say they have increased sales of their products by promoting the many benefits offered by the company’s compact and dynamic machines, and the wide range of tasks they are able to undertake.

However, recognizing the ever-present threat of theft and the impact it can have on their customers, Raimo Ala-Korpi, managing director of Avant UK, explained why the company had decided to fit the CESAR system to their product range as standard.

‘We are always looking to improve our products and fitting CESAR is one way we can demonstrate to our customers that we recognize the effect theft has on them and how we can help prevent it,’ he commented. ‘We are confident that this announcement will be welcomed by our customers across our product range.’

Powered by Datatag ID technologies, CESAR is an industry-recognized anti-theft system for construction and agricultural equipment, and its power as a theft deterrent is well proven. There have been police reports of a six-fold decrease in machine theft since the scheme was launched in 2007 and, according to Datatag, stolen CESAR-marked equipment has a much higher recovery rate than unmarked equipment.

The CESAR system, which uses a range of state-of-the-art Datatag technology to give each item of equipment a unique fingerprint, can only be fitted by accredited and fully trained technicians.

Once a machine is CESAR marked and registered it is protected for life with no further annual fees or subscriptions. All leading insurers support the scheme and some firms offer up to 25% discount on CESAR-marked equipment and machinery.

Chris Harrison, sales director for Datatag, said: ‘Avant join an illustrious band of manufacturers who fit CESAR as standard and we are very pleased to welcome them on board. The theft-deterrent benefits of our technologies are well documented and we continue to work closely with the police to help train officers and drive out theft from the construction and agriculture industries.’
