Amendments to WML exemptions

Mineral operators are being reminded to review their waste-management activities following the recent announcement of new Waste Management Licensing exemption regulations.

A number of quarry restoration activities may no longer be exempt, requiring operators to submit a WML or PPC permit application by 1 October 2005 if such activities are to continue.
