Alstom launch largest Raymond roller mill
Latest system designed to address growing need for limestone sorbent and solid fuel alternatives requiring greater milling capacity
ALSTOM have introduced their new Raymond 120in roller mill system designed to dry, pulverize, classify and deliver various types of materials with feed sizes ranging from 10mm to 70mm. This larger mill also complements the company’s existing product line to meet the growing need for limestone sorbent and solid fuel alternatives requiring greater milling capacity.
‘Our new 12in roller mill is the largest of its kind and ensures customers maximum production, flexibility and reliability at a reduced cost while maintaining superior quality,’ said Thorston Holl, Alstom’s vice-president of auxiliary components.
The Raymond 120in roller mill is particularly well suited for the processing of materials which are classified as 5 or less on the Mohs scale of hardness. It has the ability to produce a wide range of material sizes from granular to fine, for maximum flexibility.
The mill controls product size and production quality with minimal power, thereby reducing overall operating costs. Additional construction features that offer advantages to the customer include: journal assembly; vertical-shaft hub connection; trunnion bearings dual-o-ring; and flange bearing for turbine classifier.
