Company announces appointment of Pablo Libreros to lead aggregates business into the future
AGGREGATE Industries have appointed Pablo Libreros as managing director of their aggregates division.
Mr Libreros, who has vast experience in the industry, joined Aggregate Industries in 2017 as director of growth and innovation from the LafargeHolcim Group, where he was previously chief executive officer for the Costa Rica business.
Prior to this he held various senior roles, including logistics director and supply chain director, within the Group’s Brazil division.
With more than 60 quarrying operations across the UK, in his new role Mr Libreros will focus on ensuring the company remains at the frontline of the construction and infrastructure industries.
Prior to joining the LafargeHolcim Group, Mr Libreros also worked in a number of ecological public sector positions in Paris, most notably as an advisor to the Minister for sustainable development in France.
Aggregate Industries say this experience will be invaluable in ensuring that sustainability is at the core of the aggregates business and its processes.
François Pétry, chief executive officer at Aggregate Industries, commented: ‘Year after year, we continue to deliver first-class solutions for our customers while ensuring we carry on growing. We know that the market is always developing, meaning the needs of our customers are forever changing.
‘Utilizing Pablo’s wealth of strategic and operational expertise and experience of industry innovation, whilst leveraging LafargeHolcim’s global presence, we will ensure our aggregates division remains one of the safest, most customer-focused businesses in the industry.’
