Polyco protective gloves

Hand-protection specialists to show latest products and services for the recycling and waste industries

Polyco, one of Europe’s leading specialists in the development and production of hand protection, will be attending this year’s Recycling and Waste Management Exhibition. The waste and recycling industry is one of the most dangerous environments to work in with nine fatal injuries and 481 non-fatal major injuries occurring in 2010/2011.

Visitors to the Polyco stand will have the chance to view Polyco’s industry leading product, the Wastemaster, which has been developed specifically for the waste and recycling sector. Created using HexArmor SuperFabric technology, this underglove offers unparalleled needlestick, cut, puncture and abrasion resistance as well as flexibility and comfort without compromising on protection.

Polyco will also be launching their new, dedicated recycling and waste-management sector catalogue, which provides detailed information on each type of hand protection. The catalogue is colour coded throughout, with each colour representing different applications, making it easier to determine which glove is right for each specific job/individual.

Visitors will also be able to find out more about Polyco’s Hand Protection Assessment survey, which will help navigate the vast range of products available in the marketplace and ensure that the right hand protection is selected for the workplace.

Mark Mastrangelo, marketing manager at Polyco, explained: ‘With the launch of the new initiative, we are offering free, impartial advice to the end-user, making sure that the correct glove is being used within an organization by identifying all the potential risks so that the most suitable form of hand protection can be used for the task.’
