Nature After Minerals: Woodland creation and establishment
Venue
This Nature After Minerals (NAM) training course will cover the principles of mineral site restoration to appropriate woodland habitat, including consideration of wet woodland, planting mixes, open spaces, scrub establishment and deadwood, and how the optimise their biodiversity value. We will also look at the aftercare required, and the needs of specialist woodland species.
The day consists of an indoor morning session with guest speakers and land management experts providing advice on the subject in hand; a light lunch with the opportunity to network with other delegates; and a site visit to learn from on-the-ground examples of relevant best practice.
Spaces are limited to 25.
