X-plore the new comfort zone

Incorporating a novel ‘drop-down’ design and an innovative X-guided strap system, the new Draeger X-plore series of high-performance filtering respirators is available in limited-life and reusable half-mask as well as full-face versions, each of which can be supplied with both single and combination filters to suit a wide variety of industrial applications.

The X-plore 3300 limited-life version is primarily designed for users requiring an economical yet comfortable respirator for short-duration one-off applications, whereas the X-plore 3500 offers reusable protection for longer-term wear. For users requiring a higher level of safety, the full-face X-plore 5500 provides complete respiratory and eye protection.

Draeger say the new X-plore range offers a number of features and benefits. For example, the X-plore 3500 series features a special drop-down system which allows the mask to be removed from the face without the user having to take off his/her hard hat or face shield. By opening the clips at the back of the neck, the respirator simply slides down, away from the face, while remaining protected from dirt and grime.

Utilizing the new, fully adjustable Draeger FlexiFit head harness to ensure a soft, comfortable fit without hair entanglement, the X-plore 3500 series also benefits from the new X-guided, pressure-free, crossover strap system which evenly distributes the weight of the mask on the face.

Suitable for use with safety glasses, the flexible, leak-free nose seal complements the new hypo-allergenic DraegerFlex material to further enhance facial comfort. In addition, the swept-back position of the filters guarantees a wide field of vision which is free from obstruction and facilitates the use of visors and face shields. The filters themselves feature a two-point bayonet connector which can be used across all three models in the X-plore range to simplify usage.
