Working at Height 2008

IT has been announced that the UK’s first-ever Working at Height exhibition will take place at Stoneleigh Park Exhibition Centre, near Coventry, from 2–3 April 2008. The organizers of the event, Room 13 Ltd, say the exhibition will present those with working at height requirements the opportunity to review equipment, structures, systems and accessories, providing safe and effective solutions to their ‘at height’ operations.

Although there will be a focus on the access industry and its importance in building, construction and maintenance, there will also be an emphasis on equipment created to aid and assist those working at height in many other industry sectors. As well as the exhibition itself, there will be a number of conferences, seminars, workshops and corporate presentations, including a solutions-driven programme of events presented by the HSE.

Bob Hudson, managing director of Room 13 Ltd, said: ‘In recent years, Europe-wide directives have, by re-defining working at height, highlighted the importance of professional and responsible applications when carrying out any task which is necessarily executed in a position from which a fall or drop could cause injury or damage. We are therefore pleased to be able to present this opportunity to industry and commerce to meet with those able to provide a safe and cost-effective answer to their requirements.’
