Weighing vehicles without a scale operator

Truck drivers can complete their own weighing transactions in seconds with an unattended Mettler Toledo scale terminal. Equipping a weighbridge with one of these terminals makes it possible to weigh vehicles at any time of the day or night, without having a scale operator on duty.

The terminals are suitable for weighbridges in remote locations that operate 24h a day, seven days a week, as well as for facilities with multiple scales. They can be set up to work in conjunction with traffic lights, gates and other peripheral equipment, to manage traffic flow and/or restrict access to a facility.

Unattended weighing can also make an operation more efficient by weighing vehicles quickly to keep traffic moving and allowing drivers obtain tickets without leaving their vehicles.

Mettler Toledo’s unattended scale terminals have rugged stainless steel enclosures that are designed for use in the harshest environments, providing protection against rain, snow, dust and tampering.

In addition, an optional heater can be installed to keep printers and other internal components working in freezing temperatures, while an optional fan provides active cooling in hot environments.
