Weighbridge hire contract for Aram

Aram Resources have hired from Precia-Molen a 15m weighbridge for their site at Newhaven, East Sussex.

While Aram Resources initially needed a weighbridge on a short-term basis, they were also evaluating Precia-Molen as a potential future supplier of weighbridges and management systems to their other new UK sites. John Laven, area manager at the Newhaven site, said: 'Although we had an immediate short-term requirement at Newhaven, we were ultimately seeking a supplier with whom we could develop a long-term relationship and in which reliability and service played vital roles.'

Precia-Molen were able to quickly supply a 15m, 50-tonne portable weighbridge to the new site which receives, on average, 30 vehicles a day. The weighbridge operates with a simple ticket arrangement.

The hire service from Precia-Molen covers weighbridges together with a range of weighing systems including driver-operated systems with the company's Traffic Control Integrator driver consoles.

Following the success of the weighbridge and service offered by Precia-Molen, Aram Resources have plans to possibly install a Precia-Molen GeneSYS Bronze computer system to manage and control the entire weighing operation.
