TowerLight launch the first LED lighting set
Italian-based manufacturer launches energy-saving portable lighting tower featuring LED technology
TOWERLIGHT Srl have unveiled their latest development in environmentally sound lighting, the VB-9 LED, a 9m vertical mast lighting tower fitted with energy-saving LED lamps instead of traditional metal halide lights.
Made from robust polycarbonate, the LED lamps are offer a high resistance to breakage and explosion with no glass or bulbs to replace and, unlike metal halide, will restart while hot. They also come with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Just 150W of LED power consumption yields an a level of illumination equivalent to 400W of metal halide power consumption. Moreover, the LED lights themselves offer around 70,000h of life compared with 6,000h for typical metal halide lights.
Equipped with a 170-litre capacity fuel tank, which provides 340h of running time between refuelling (435% more than a traditional lighting set), the VB-9 LED is powered by an air-cooled diesel engine with 12V electric star, all housed within a whisper-quiet sound-proof canopy with easy access for maintenance via large lockable doors.
TowerLight lighting towers are manufactured in Villanova d’Ardenghi, near Milan, and distributed worldwide via a network of distributors. In the UK, TowerLight have a wholly owned subsidiary, TowerLight UK Ltd, based in Milton Keynes.
